Full colour, cut to shape
Printed stickers are full-colour custom stickers: your artwork printed on white vinyl, protected with a UV laminate, and contour cut around the edge of the design. Photographs, gradients, tiny text, a hundred colours, a drop shadow — the artwork decides what is possible, not a roll of coloured vinyl. This is the opposite trade-off from cut vinyl decals, which are one solid colour with no background but outlast anything printed.
What people order them for
Logo stickers for packaging and hand-outs, product labels and ingredient panels, laptop stickers, water bottle and tumbler stickers, helmet and hard hat stickers, band and brand merch, event and conference giveaways, kids and classroom stickers, jar and candle labels, and warning or instruction labels for equipment. Laminated vinyl copes with outdoors, coolers, dishwashing by hand and being carried around in a bag.
Die cut, kiss cut or a sheet?
Die cut means each sticker is cut right through and comes as its own separate piece in the shape of the artwork. Kiss cut means the blade cuts only the vinyl and leaves the backing whole, so the sticker sits on a neat square or on a shared sheet and peels off when wanted. Kiss cut is the better choice for anything handed out in quantity, for sets, and for anywhere the backing is doing some of the work — see custom sticker sheets. Tell us how they will be used and we will recommend one.
Why the laminate matters
Ink on its own scratches, and UV light fades it. The clear laminate we put over printed work takes the abrasion, blocks a good deal of the UV and keeps water out of the ink layer, which is what turns a printed sticker from an indoor item into something that survives a year or several outdoors. Laminate also sets the finish: matte reads as premium and photographs well, gloss makes colours pop, and there is a soft-touch option for packaging. Printed work is still shorter-lived than cut vinyl — typically two to four years outdoors before visible fading, against six or more for solid-colour film with no ink in it at all.
Shapes, sizes and quantities
Any shape the artwork suggests: circles, rounded squares, ovals, the outline of your logo, or a custom contour drawn to follow the design. Sizes run from about an inch up to large single panels, and the cost per sticker drops quickly with quantity — so tell us the number you are actually considering and we will quote a couple of options against it rather than one figure in isolation.
Indoor, outdoor and everything in between
Outdoor jobs get permanent adhesive and a UV laminate as standard. Anything going on a wall, a window you will change, or a rented surface should be removable film so it lifts cleanly later. Anything going on a bottle or a tumbler should be washed by hand — waterproof does not mean dishwasher-safe, and a dishwasher cycle is harder on a sticker than a Canadian winter. Our decal guide goes through the differences.
What to send us
Vector artwork (SVG, PDF, AI or EPS) stays sharp at any size and gives the cleanest contour cut. A high-resolution PNG or JPG works too, at roughly 150 DPI or better at the finished size. Leave a little bleed around the outside and keep important detail away from the cut edge. We check your file at the size you need and send a proof before printing — and if all you have is a photo of an old sticker or a sketch, send it and we will tell you what can be done with it. Full detail is in our artwork guide.

Common questions
How do I get a quote?
Email info@signs613.com or send the request form on this site — both land in the same inbox. Tell us the size, the quantity and where it is going, and attach your artwork or a photo. A real person replies with a clear price and turnaround. We do not publish a phone number; if you would rather be called, leave your number in the form and say so.
Do you ship across Canada?
Yes — standard shipping is free anywhere in Canada. Expedited shipping is available on request; tell us your deadline and we will quote it alongside the free option.
Will I see a proof first?
Always. Every job gets a proof by email showing size, colour, spelling and layout, and nothing is cut or printed until you approve it.
How long does it take?
Most decal, sticker and lettering jobs are made within about five business days of proof approval, plus shipping. Larger signs and installations are scheduled with you. In a hurry? Say so and we will tell you honestly what is possible.
What file format should I send?
Vector artwork (SVG, PDF, AI or EPS) stays sharp at any size. A high-resolution PNG or JPG also works — at least 150 DPI at the finished size. We check it at the size you need and tell you before printing if it will not hold up.
Are printed stickers waterproof?
Yes. The UV laminate seals the ink against water, sun and scuffing, so rain, car washes and water bottles are fine. Dishwashers are harsher than weather and will eventually lift edges, so hand-wash anything you want to keep.
What is the difference between die cut and kiss cut?
Die cut means the blade goes through the vinyl AND the backing, so the finished piece is the shape of your artwork. Kiss cut means only the top layer is cut and the backing sheet stays whole, so the sticker sits on a larger square you peel it off. One thing worth knowing: most online sticker shops selling "die cut stickers" mean a printed, laminated sticker cut to shape. What we cut here is solid colour vinyl with no printing and no background, pre-masked with transfer tape — on glass or a truck door there is no visible sticker edge at all.
What surfaces will a vinyl decal stick to?
Vinyl wants smooth, clean and non-porous. Glass, painted or enamelled metal, powder-coated panels, sealed or varnished wood, acrylic and smooth rigid plastics all hold well. Gloss and semi-gloss painted drywall is fine; flat paint is less reliable and heavy texture is a gamble. It will not hold on brick, concrete, stucco, raw or weathered wood, or anything chalky or flaking — there is nothing continuous for the adhesive to grip. Send a close-up photo of the surface if you are unsure and we will tell you before you order.
Will a decal damage my paint or my window tint?
Applied and removed properly, no. Vinyl sits on the clear coat, not in it, and comes off with gentle heat from a hair dryer, lifted at a shallow angle — never a blade, and never a heat gun held in one spot. Factory tint is inside the glass and is not affected. Aftermarket tint film is the exception: it is a film on the inside of the window, so put the decal on the OUTSIDE of a tinted window and it is a non-issue. Paint that is already cracked, flaking or freshly resprayed is the real risk — let new paint cure for at least a month first.
Can you ship cut vinyl decals to my province?
Yes — every province and territory, with free standard shipping. Cut vinyl travels better than almost anything else a sign shop makes: it ships flat or rolled, pre-masked with transfer tape, so it arrives ready to apply and there is no surcharge for distance. The same decal costs a customer in British Columbia what it costs one in Ontario. Expedited shipping is quoted on request — tell us your deadline when you ask. Only installation stays local, across the Belleville, Kingston and Napanee area.
What if something is wrong when it arrives?
Custom work cannot be returned for a change of mind, because it is made specifically for you — but if it arrives faulty, damaged or not as proofed, contact us within 14 days with a photo and we will remake or refund it.
